If you know us Sidekickers well, you'll know we’re not runners.
You’re more likely to find us with a gin than in a gym - but this month we’re stepping out of our comfort zone and onto the running track – all in the name of charity.
We’re lacing up our trainers and heading to Rother Valley on Saturday 29 April for Bluebell Wood’s Colour Dash, a five kilometre run (or walk!) through clouds of colour.
Why are we doing it? To raise vital funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Bluebell Wood currently supports around 250 families, both in their own homes and at the hospice in North Anston.
This support includes end of life care, short breaks, music therapy, counselling, sibling support, home visits and more.
All of its services are completely free and its hospice – surrounded by six-and-a-half acres of land - houses eight bedrooms and accommodation for family members, as well as a lounge area, dining room, sensory room, a cinema room and more.
However, it costs the charity more than £4million every year to keep its doors open – so every penny counts.
We’d be thrilled if you could spare a pound or two to help us raise as much money as we can for the charity.
