We’re proud to announce Sidekick PR director, Charlotte Dimond, has joined an elite selection of professionals to become chartered in the public relations industry.
Charlotte is now one of only 130 chartered PR practitioners in the UK, and one of just six in our home-region of Yorkshire.
The status was awarded by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) following a rigorous assessment day in London.
In order to become chartered, candidates must demonstrate excellence in challenging areas of PR including ethics, strategy and leadership.
Charlotte, who has worked in the PR industry for 18 years, became a Member of the institute (MCIPR) in 2003 and has judged the national CIPR Excellence Awards for the past three years.
Charlotte, said: “I feel hugely honoured to be able to say I’m a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner. The assessment was incredibly tough but extremely rewarding, with lots of support from the CIPR and the other candidates.
“The CIPR advances professionalism and continually explores new ways of working within a fast changing industry. I am passionate about learning and continual professional development and feel that it is vitally important for professionals to ensure that they are at the forefront of new thinking and techniques in their industry.
“I am extremely proud that my ethical practice, strategic thinking and leadership qualities have helped me to achieve chartered status.”
